Automotive SPICE® Competent Assessor

(intacs® certified)

The Automotive SPICE® Competent Assessor training is the final step to become a qualified Automotive SPICE® Lead Assessor.

This course prepares participants for the intacs® Certified Competent Assessor exam and builds on the previous Automotive SPICE® trainings. Participants will acquire knowledge and skills to lead an assessment as a Certified Competent Assessor in their own or other companies or at suppliers.

In 5 days, we will deep dive into planning, execution and documentation of an assessment according to Automotive SPICE®.

As a key to success, this training relies on active participation and practices in the entire training. Participants will be given homework assignments to be presented during the training.

An intacs® certified Instructor will take the participants through practical exercises and experiences. This training is certified under the International Assessor Certification Scheme (intacs®).

This training does not cover processes for hardware development nor machine learning. These processes require dedicated extension trainings.

Participants are assessed by the course instructor using the course observation form. This includes several criteria such as active participation in exercises and during the training, quality of presentations and not missing any training time.

Target Audience

The training is designed for intacs® certified Provisional Assessors who are planning on becoming certified Competent Assessors.

Everybody who wants to lead take the lead on formal Automotive SPICE® assessments is welcome.

Preconditions

Participants should have several years of professional experience in the automotive industry (e.g. software/system development, project management, quality management, etc.)

Participants must be certified intacs® Automotive SPICE® Provisional Assessors

Examination

This training leads to the Automotive SPICE® Competent Assessor exam. The exam fee will be charged on behalf of VDA QMC.

The exam is held in English. The regular duration of the exam is one hour. Examinees whose native language is not English receive 50% more exam time.

Passing the exam on the last day is a further requirement to apply for Competent Assessor certification from the VDA QMC. The VDA QMC charges additional fees for certification.

Information about the certification

For the certification as an intacs® certified Automotive SPICE® Competent Assessor, participants must successfully pass the exam and be observed during preparation, execution and reporting of a formal assessment.

The VDA QMC will charge additional fees for the certification. Participants must register with VDA QMC within one year of successfully passing the exam.

For online trainings, all materials are offered digitally. For in-person trainings, all materials are offered digitally.

General Terms and Conditions

Payment

Invoices are to be paid within 14 days. For trainings, payment must be received 7 days before the trainings starts. Different arrangements can be made.

Rebooking

Participants can name a replacement for the entire training course. Please get in contact with us before the training starts. This rebooking is free of charge.

Participants may also rebook for a different date or to select an other specific training. Please get in contact with us, at least a week before the training starts.

Date changes on behalf of a-spice.de

If a training cannot take place as planned, a-spice.de reserves the right to set a later training date. Changes will be communicated as early as possible. Any associated costs will not be reimbursed.

Cancellations

The following cancellation fees apply:

  • Up to 30 days before the start of the training: 0% (full refund of the invoice amount)
  • Up to 14 days before the start of the training: 50%
  • Otherwise: 100% (no refund)
